As They continue to expand, they are looking for an experienced Ingredient Buyer to join their dynamic team and contribute to their ongoing success.
Position Overview:
As an Ingredient Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing key dairy commodities and whey products, ensuring that we maintain a steady supply of high-quality ingredients at competitive prices. Your role will be essential in helping them meet the demands of their customers while optimizing our purchasing strategies.
Ingredient Buyer Job Responsibilities:
- Purchase dairy commodities and whey products from a network of suppliers, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
- Monitor market trends and commodity prices, adjusting procurement strategies to capitalize on cost-saving opportunities.
- Negotiate contracts and manage purchasing agreements.
- Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to forecast demand and adjust procurement strategies accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier contracts, and inventory levels.
- Assist with other purchasing-related tasks as needed to support the growth of the company.
Ingredient Buyer Qualifications:
- Previous experience in ingredient buying, procurement, or purchasing in the dairy or agricultural industry is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of dairy commodities and whey products.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to analyze market trends and make data-driven decisions.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Self-motivated and proactive with a drive to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base salary of $80,000 - $120,000, based on experience.
- Uncapped aggressive commission structure, providing significant earning potential.
